Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Esquire Homes ("Esquire Homes," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information through the 1188 Towns marketing website (the "Site"), including the online registration form. This policy applies only to the Site, it does not apply to any purchase agreement, sales office, or other offering documentation you may separately receive.
1. Who we are
The Site markets 1188 Towns, a townhome development at 1188 Simcoe St S, Oshawa, ON, developed by Esquire Homes. Esquire Homes is the party responsible for the personal information collected through this Site.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us directly. The only place the Site collects personal information is the "Register Today" form, which asks for:
- First and last name (required)
- Email address (required)
- Phone number (optional)
We do not use cookies, analytics tags, or advertising pixels on the public pages of this Site to track your browsing activity, and we do not collect payment or financial information here. A hidden field on the registration form (invisible to visitors) exists only to filter out automated spam submissions and is not personal information about you.
3. How we use your information
When you submit the registration form, we use your information to:
- Respond to your inquiry about 1188 Towns;
- Add you to the list of registered prospective purchasers for the project;
- Send you project updates and marketing communications about 1188 Towns by email (for example, renderings, pricing, or availability updates), consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL); and
- Maintain an internal record of inquiries for the development.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Marketing emails and unsubscribing
Every marketing email we send about 1188 Towns identifies the sender and includes a working one-click unsubscribe link, as required by CASL. You can also ask to be removed at any time by emailing us at the address below. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect our ability to respond to a specific inquiry you've raised with us directly.
5. Where your information is stored and who processes it
Registration information is stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure and is only accessible to Esquire Homes and its website administrator through a password-protected admin area. We use Resend, a transactional and marketing email delivery service, to send registration notifications and project update emails on our behalf. These providers act as processors and are only permitted to use your information to provide these services to us.

6. Data retention
We keep registration information for as long as it remains useful for the marketing and sale of 1188 Towns, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we retain a record that you opted out so we can honour that choice going forward.
7. Your choices and rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and CASL, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- Ask us to delete your information or stop contacting you; and
- Withdraw consent to further marketing communications at any time.

8. Security
We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the personal information you provide, including restricting access to the registrant database to authorized, password-protected accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
This Site is intended for adults inquiring about purchasing a home and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Third-party links
The Site's neighbourhood map uses mapping data from OpenStreetMap contributors, and social media icons may link to third-party platforms. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Site or our practices change. The "Effective date" above reflects the last revision. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
